, 1/2500 f/4.0, ISO 640, hand held. Specie: Gypaetus barbatus

Ciao Palo Pala! <3

Even if wild you always get attached to such beautiful animals, especially when, as in your case, you can recognize the single specimen thanks to the rings, too bad it is a story that ended badly.... beautiful detailed image and in beautiful light, congratulations

Beautiful shot, always sad to know that a beautiful specimen is no longer there.

I don't understand why they can't replace lead with another metal that doesn't cause poisoning. It is absurd, hunting associations should be the first to be sensitive. Two years ago an eagle here gives me the same end, but who knows how many birds of prey you don't know die. Too bad

Too bad for the end of the young Gipeto, this absurd and anachronistic "sport" they call hunting in a civilized society makes no sense to exist! the photo you posted is really beautiful!
A greeting

@Andnol:
[QUOTAS] , hunting associations should be the first to be sensitive[/QUOTAS]
And unfortunately in many cases this is not the case. Just these months it is the battle of many Italian hunters against the proposal to ban lead in hunting munitions.
The "champion" is an MEP who comes from my region, and I am ashamed of it :-.

Unfortunately, this sad story shows how unsensitimal some people have. Why shoot a protected bird that belongs to a reintroduction project? It is a common good that must be respected. Greetings. Mc

McMenon, he wasn't shot, probably ingested lead by feeding on an injured animal during the hunting period and not recovered
