at 50mm, 1/500 f/5.6, ISO 1600, hand held.

La Maserati 200 era una vetture di tipo Barchetta... cioè senza essere provvista di alcun tipo di protezione superiore per l'equipaggio e non aveva portiere. Venne costruita in 28 esemplari tra il 1955 ed il 1957 su progetto di Giulio Alfieri. Era equipaggiata con un motore dotato di 4 cilindri in linea di 1994 cm3 che erogava 187 cavalli di potenza. Un solo telaio... di tipo tubolare... venne costruito dalla Gilco di Milano. Tutte le carrozzerie vennero approntate a Modena... prima da Celestino Fiandri... e poi da Medardo Fantuzzi. Le ultime vetture... costruite nel 1957... assunsero la denominazione 200 SI (Sport Internazionale) e ricevettero alcune migliorie ai freni, un cambio a 5 marce rispetto al precedente a 4 e un aumento di potenza a 235 cavalli.. Alcune vetture verranno in seguito modificate dotandole di portiere, tergicristallo per il lato pilota e capote ripiegabile. L'attuale stima di un'esemplare di una 200 S/SI nel mercato collezionistico è fra i 4 ed i 4,5 milioni di euro. La vettura qui visibile... in questa fotografia scattata sotto la pioggia... partecipò all'ultima edizione della 1000 Miglia... partita domenica 12 maggio 1957... con il numero di gara 504 ed era condotta da Nando Pagliarini.
