Volpi a bordo strada: come comportarsi? ? Nei mesi estivi, visti i tanti visitatori del Parco, capita di frequente di avvistare volpi che si "appostano" in prossimità delle strade di questo territorio. Questi sono esemplari che sono stati abituati a ricevere cibo da chi passa in auto. Sicuramente la maggior parte delle persone pensa di fare una buona azione nei confronti di un animale che ai loro occhi, sembra trovarsi in difficoltà. Ma non è assolutamente così! ? Le volpi sono animali selvatici e non necessitano del nostro “aiuto” per alimentarsi. La natura mette a loro disposizione una quantità più che abbondante di cibo. Se si fermano a bordo strada è semplicemente perché per loro ottenere cibo per mano di un umano è sicuramente meno dispendioso e faticoso rispetto al procacciarselo cacciando. La cosa più importante da comprendere, è che dare da mangiare ad una volpe, oltre che inutile è anche dannoso: - È dannoso perché da un punto di vista culturale, etico e morale, si da un messaggio sbagliato a chi in quel momento ci osserva; questi possano essere i nostri figli o altri passanti, che sarebbero portati a pensare che si può fare. - È dannoso perché quello che per noi è cibo, può trasformarsi per loro in veleno: negli anni abbiamo visto, online e dal vivo, donare di tutto, dal salame piccante ai biscotti al cioccolato, ai crackers con la maionese. Questi alimenti possono provocare serie malattie agli animali. - È dannoso perché un animale che si abitua all'uomo e che non percepisce più la strada come fonte di pericolo, finirà, con molta probabilità, con l'essere investito. Il nostro comportamento e le nostre attitudini contano. Un animale selvatico NON è un animale domestico, non deve essere trattato come tale e per vivere non ha bisogno di noi (anzi…!).
