at 600mm, 1/2000 f/8.0, ISO 800, hand held. Aeroporto Tessera Venezia, Italy. Specie: Tadorna tadorna

from us at the beginning of May the foxes are engaged in courtship and I therefore think that in June it is more likely that the little ones have already left the nest that most of the time is carved into the burrows of other animals such as foxes and rabbits so it is likely that it has distracted your attention to allow the little ones to move in the opposite direction...
a truly spectacular and lucky scene you have witnessed ;-)

Thank you Paul, probably as you say. It was June 12th. There are no foxes or rabbits, we are in the coffin, k territory is often submerged by the tides, and still often wet.
A week before, there was a swan on its nest platform a little further.
Pretty safe zone, apart from the seagulls...
How to see her swimming with her wings was a very special scene.

Thank you, Roberto.
Le Volpoche are common here in and around the lagoon, but the scene was really interesting.
