Char Kaliganj a Dhaka, slum e sede di uno dei cantieri navali più grandi dell'Asia. Una città-labirinto fatta di giganti scheletri di vecchie navi, che forniscono lavoro a circa 15 mila anime che lavorano sia per abbatterle, sia per creare nuove navi con le parti recuperate. L'età dei lavoratori varia da 8 a 80 e tutti lavorano insieme. Il lavoro è duro, sporco e pericoloso, ma dà a migliaia di lavoratori un salario per sfamare le proprie famiglie. I bambini non hanno la possibilità di ricevere un istruzione, ma non esistono altre opzioni oltre che lavorare ed aiutare la famiglia.
