Finalmente sono riuscito a visitare il Pantanal! Accarezzavo l'idea di andarci da diversi anni ma poi, per un motivo o per l'altro, ho sempre rinviato la partenza. Dopo aver visto i reportage degli altri fotografi ed aver ascoltato i loro racconti, le aspettative erano altissime. Certo non siamo riusciti a vedere proprio tutto, ma devo dire che queste aspettative sono state confermate .. il posto e' davvero incredibile!! Siamo stati a Sud principalmente in cerca di formichieri e uccelli e, naturalmente, a nord con obiettivo principale il giaguaro. E proprio il giaguaro e' stato il grande protagonista del nostro viaggio .. abbiamo avuto mediamente 3 o 4 avvistamenti al giorno.. in alcuni casi davvero ravvicinati ed interessanti .. e poi ci sono state le lontre, i caimani .. ma anche le volpi, gli armadilli ed il raro crisocione ... Il caldo torrido, l'umidità e gli insetti sono passati (quasi) inosservati davanti a tale ricompensa. Ma andiamo con ordine .. inizio il mio reportage con una immagine del Re del Pantanal che dedico ai miei amici e compagni di viaggio Max, Giorgio, Igor, Fabiano ed Alessio. Purtroppo Alessandro ha dovuto rinunciare all'ultimo minuto per impegni personali. Ci è mancato molto ma ci rifaremo presto con altre avventure.
