È soprannominata la "Sistina del Friuli" perché al suo interno custodisce uno splendido ciclo di affreschi rinascimentali .L'edificio si trova nel centro storico e la sua costruzione è legata all'attività dell'ospizio e dell'ospedale di Sant'Antonio ivi esistente fino al 1870. Una chiesa esisteva già nel 1308 ma fu danneggiata dal terremoto del 1348 e successivamente ristrutturata con l'aggiunta del presbiterio e della sacrestia (1441). La chiesa, ora sconsacrata, restaurata dopo il terremoto del 1976, è ad una sola navata, parte della quale, assieme al coro e all'arco trionfale, è coperta da tre cicli di affreschi: i primi due sono stati realizzati verso la fine del '300 da allievi e collaboratori di Vitale da Bologna, il terzo è opera di Martino da Udine, meglio conosciuto come Pellegrino da San Daniele, che li realizzò tra il 1497 ed il 1522. Nella volta del coro sono rappresentati Profeti ed Evangelisti, nella parete di fondo la Crocifissione, nei sottarchi ancora figure di Profeti. Le Storie di Sant'Antonio Abate e di Cristo sono state dipinte nelle pareti del coro, nell'arco trionfale e nella navata sinistra, ove esiste ancora il ciclo più antico con scene dell'Infanzia di Cristo. Di notevole interesse sono le vetrate delle finestre laterali, due delle quali originali del 1487.
