Da poco avevo pubblicato un'altra immagine di questa splendida chiesa, quella era di uno stile sognante in onore del mio amico Gianka, che me l'aveva commissionata per tutti gli amici di Juza, perché lui se la ricordava come un'apparizione e ho rispettato la sua visione, questa è più in stile cartolina, ma a me piace questo stile, la dedico a tutti i miei nuovi amici perché in questi giorni ho ricevuto più volte questo onore, grazie di cuore ragazzi per la stima che è reciproca un grande abbraccio a tutti. ----------------------------------------------------- La Basilica di Saccargia La chiesa SS. Trinità di Saccargia è uno degli esempi più suggestivi dello Stile Romanico Pisano in Sardegna. Situata nel Comune di Codrongianos a circa una decina di chilometri da Sassari, sorge su un piccolo poggio, sulla S.S. “597" per Olbia. Saccargia significherebbe "s'acca argia" cioè vacca pezzata, questo nome sarebbe legato a una leggenda, secondo la quale una vacca che abitualmente si inginocchiava in atteggiamento di preghiera e di offerta del proprio latte ai frati di un convento vicino. Fondata nel 1112, secondo quanto riportato da un atto arcivescovile, viene donata ai monaci camaldolesi una piccola chiesetta in località Saccargia. La struttura originaria fu inserita nel Monastero Camaldolese, di cui rimangono le consistenti rovine. La sua consacrazione avvenne nel 1116 con eccezionale solennità e la presenza delle più importanti autorità ecclesiastiche dell'isola. Successivamente, maestranze Pisane completarono la navata e la facciata aggiungendo due elementi essenziali: il portico e la torre campanaria. Durante i tre secoli della sua storia come abbazia camaldolese (dal XII al XIV secolo), la basilica di Saccargia ebbe sempre una posizione influente i suoi abati e priori avevano la superiorità sugli altri monasteri di Sardegna. Dopo il 1384 i monaci camaldolesi abbandonarono l'abbazia che venne affidata ad un abate commendatario. Nel 1820 i redditi del patrimonio dell'abbazia furono assegnati all'Università di Sassari. Del monastero ormai non restano che rovine, mentre la chiesa venne sottoposta ad un restauro nel 1894 che riuscì a salvare e conservare questo splendido gioiello di arte medievale. Cenni artistici La chiesa fu realizzata in conci di lava basaltica scura e calcare bianco, presenta un portico di tre arcate, poggiate su colonne al centro e su pilastri agli angoli. La retrostante facciata si compone di tre ordini: quello inferiore ha un portale con arco di scarico bicolore; quello centrale, cinque arcatelle sostenute da colonne di pietra rossastra con capitelli scolpiti; nell'ordine superiore i cinque archi digradano seguendo gli spioventi del tetto, con una piccola apertura centrale in forma di croce. L'austero interno è a navata unica, con due cappelle absidate che fiancheggiano la maggiore formando il transetto, copertura sostenuta da trentasei capriate lignee a vista e pavimento di grigie pietre basaltiche. Il grande ciclo affrescato dell'abside raffigura nel catino Cristo circondato da angeli, nella fascia intermedia dodici figure di sorti e dottori della Chiesa, con la Madonna orante, e in quella inferiore sei scene della vita e della passione di Cristo.
