In un tempo antichissimo il nobile Thor, il dio dei Geti, insieme ai suoi uomini era alla ricerca della terra del sole e giunto fra le dolomiti restò ammaliato dalla loro bellezza. Scelse come sua dimora il complesso di campanili, torri e guglie che racchiude una vallata dove scorre il rio Talagona e alle cui pendici sorge il paese di Domegge di Cadore.
