La splendida, selvaggia e isolata, cascata della Merdarola. La si incontra sul sentiero per l'omonima Alpe, dopo circa una mezz'oretta di cammino dai bagni di Masino, su per il versante sud del bacino glaciale della Valle dei Bagni. Inaccessibile a prima vista osservandola da cio' che resta dell'antica stazione termale, la Valle di Merdarola sa regalare, lassù in alto, una volta fuori la vegetazione (una fitta foresta di ontani che ahimè istruisce anche parzialmente l'antico sentiero ormai poco frequentato) scorci e vista incredibili sui giganti, dal Pizzo Badile al Monte Disgrazia). Atrraverso un canale praticabile con una certa attenzione, si riesce a valicare sulla attigua Valle dell'Oro, per poi ridiscendere a valle non prima di aver sorseggiato un'ottima birra al Rifugio Omio.Una via insolita ma sempre appagante.
