A lateral view of a Holochelus aequinoctialis beetle, taken seconds before it flew off. Staying like this is probably not pleasant for them. ;)

18 natural light exposures, taken in 09.04.2018.

Hello and thank you!

If you don't usually photograph butterflies, the m4/3 system is very useful because it has a larger range of magnifications equivalent to a FF sensor. So I could easily go to 2X equivalent. Very useful for smaller bugs!

Image quality at base ISO of 200 is very good and I wish Olympus could go at base ISO of 100 for the next generation of sensors for an even cleaner output.

The shot is magnificent, I would say perfect!
I don't understand how he can stand up if his paws are undocked from the star!
Still gorgeous!
