Yes, it was a chance meeting, there was a jackal who was eating an impala, and this vulture was trying to grab something; ))

Hello dear mark, if I remember correctly that roost will have been something as high as 1 and a half feet.
I like distance from the scene I'll be about a ten feet away. In this situation I also photographed the other photo you can see in the Gallery, where the Jackal eats the carcass of the Impala (the head).

Thanks Pawel and Pelao. The situations are all wild nothing prepared. Otherwise I wouldn't even put the picture on the way I see it. Simply the natural spectacle of nature!!

Congratulations, excellent accomplishment and beautiful the moment caught. What kind of vulture is that? Were you able to photograph by being camoufled in some way or the escape distance was low and the animal did not escape?

Really a beautiful shot to a beautiful subject, congratulations for the realization, in my travels in Africa I never had the good fortune to take it back.

Thank you Michelangelo and Mauro. I was on the Jeep (near the Vulture, the shot is ripped a little). When they feed (specifically, the carcass of a impala killed by some jackals) they don't care who's nearby. To make you understand I will have been about 15 yards from the scene. A decent whack of c... Say. On the other hand it also takes that sometimes. :-D.... Thanks for browsing through my gallery in particular guys!

Very nice shot. I don't know if photo hunting is more difficult or not in these parks. A question? Does the park staff provide the food?

Hello Fabio ,no no, at least where I was (as also written in the description) everything was according to the laws of nature. No one gave food to anyone, simply mother nature scanned the balance of everything in this very large area. I had the great pleasure of being able to witness different situations and I tried my best to bring home some good shots. Better a few wild shots than "built" ones. Everyone is free to do what he prefers, I think the important thing is to give explanations, so that the observer of the photo is in no way deceived ;-).
