Atmosphere and composition I like very much I seem to see, however, a little 'posterization on the background above species on the left.
Congratulations, hello.

Well, it will not be a poetic title, but it certainly is accurate! :-D
I really like the game of ethereal transparencies that creates the cloud, quads to protect the subject with a mystical shadow. You have rightly emphasized the illuminated portion, giving it body and importance.
The mountain that can be seen in the upper right corner seems almost too much; pity was not completely hidden.
A picture certainly not obvious that I would see well in b & n! ;-)

Congratulations, Alberto.

Of course it is strange (I say from the top of my most total ignorance ) that a church is named after some rabbis ...: -or Maybe someone more cultured I will know how to explain the reason.
The shot I find it very intriguing, almost a ghost village ... I really like the delicate tone of the color of the clouds, and so I struggle to see it in the Black & White version. But you could also try ... lean with a vertical or square cut!

:-D :-D :-D :-D

Thanks Catherine Alberto and Yura
Catherine of the posterization I had noticed, in fact I did not want to post it, but I did not want to take it from the beginning. I must have forced too much the post production with cold filters on the shadows and tonal levels and using the masks of brightness on homogeneous areas I do not know why, I often get those halos.tu you're more practical than I know anything about it?
Usually I see them with the image adapted to the Photoshop window but then thanking it to 100% disappear. This time I see that I have asked too much for the file of my camera.

Yura is the village called I Rabbini di Monastero, 15 houses, a famous restaurant in the area for dishes based on wild boar, a church and a cemetery. What to want more :-D

A greeting
Simone

Oh I forgot, I left immediately to develop it in black and white and with a little 'clarity more worked well, but it was a landscape in black and white as so.qui in the end I wanted to isolate a minimum of color only on the clouds darkening everything the rest, and although quite far from the actual situation of the moment, I found it more functional for what I wanted to achieve.

Yes this happens to me, especially with bn makes me take cuddles ...
On the other hand, when the problem is real, even if light as in this case it may depend on an application of filters like blur and noise removal, but I understand it is not your case, or by forcing the tones on an area probably a little 'criticism of his, personally I rarely find myself with this problem but it is also true that even using the masks of brightness very often I prefer to go to the old with simple selections much smoother crude in delimiting the area of ??intervention but perhaps less criticism in this respect.

beautiful picture ... atmosphere that sends you "something" ... pity that you go a little 'unnoticed at the expense of other photos posted that lately are very trivial and obvious and instead are the subject of gratification and discussion ... gio.

Ehhh, in fact it's what I think, but I think it's inevitable, the mechanism of likeaprescindere and bellafotocomplimenti is this.
In my little (small child) sometimes I start to browse in the galleries (at least in some) looking for deserving shots and from which to learn ... or the other trick (more than scratchy :-)) is to insert between friends users that we think deserve to be followed to see their shots, and in this forum there are many!

;-)

However I knew that I would have won: the likes are directly proportional to the elements in the photograph ... :-D

Posterization is really excessive, it attracts all the attention; not wanting to waste too much time to fix it I would have preferred to add grit to remove it, maybe then cleaning it in part with other filters.
The emotional intent in limiting the atmosphere is appreciable and the play of transparency, but also of color, pleasant, however the cancellation of the directionality of light becomes pre-eminent on the landscape elements and everything becomes a bit 'artifact with the risk of having a good initial impression that vanishes shortly.

Hello Paul and thank you for your contribution.

On posterization I can not but agree even if your judgment seems a bit 'too much, but everyone uses their sensitivity and you see that to you that flaw from their own discomfort.

I can not, however, come to meet you on the subject of enlightenment, provided that you understand what you mean. Otherwise let me know.
After a storm the clouds cover or uncover the ground in an unpredictable way, at that moment only the fog was lit.On the direction or source of the light source I would not know what to say, under the church the rays are clearly visible, the sun was just above the fateful posterised area.In the frame I did not enter the sun, I do not think this is the reason for your perplexities.

interesting image for atmosphere. The brightness of a part of the clouds accentuates a pleasant three-dimensionality. Congratulations, Simone

jerry, Claudio and Andrea thank you very much.

Paolo, thanks for the reply, now your thought is clearer to me. Every photo is a story in itself, however the discourse on the brightness of the sky can be there. ;-)
thanks for the comparison.

A greeting
Simone
