Nave Piave, ex Nave porta acqua della Marina Militare dal 1973 al 2003. Vedere uno Nave in disarmo restituisce sempre emozioni spesso tristi, specialmente se ci sei stato imbarcato per alcuni anni, come me in questo caso. Per i marinai non è solo un luogo di lavoro, è anche un punto di aggregazione e protezione, dove si vivono emozioni, paure e gioie irripetibili. Sulle Navi della Marina si trovano spesso giovani provenienti dalle regioni più disparate ognuno con il proprio bagaglio di esperienze e abitudini. Ecco perché rende tristi questa visione. Quello che prima era rifugio dove si poteva riposare tornando spossati dal turno di lavoro e dove si svolgevano brulicanti pratiche di bordo ora poco a poco cede al tempo e all'azione corrosiva dell'acqua di mare, le lamiere dello scafo si ossidano e la nave si ricopre di ruggine, la pittura sapientemente e costantemente passata dai Nocchieri ora salta e qualche breccia si fa strada rendendo più labile il galleggiamento. Benché sia stata posta in disarmo da 15 anni il Piave fortunatamente svolge ancora un'importante funzione essendo stata posizionata nel seno del Varignano come piattaforma per le esercitazioni del Comsubin e si può osservare percorrendo i tornanti che portano da La Spezia a Porto Venere, per quanto non si sa... ma spero ancora per molto.
