Hello Marco is right to remember not to forget but there is a pear tree!
many years ago I also visited that place and I felt that sadness, but a lot of anger.
We humans will never learn from past mistakes until we are blinded by the devil's dung, called money.
I'll list a couple of our disasters after 1963 ...
Seveso 1976
Bhopal India 1984
Stava Val di Fiemme 1985
Chernobil 1986
Deep Water Horizon oil platform 2010
Rio doce Brasil 2015
returning to your photo I really like the point of recovery, very significant congratulations
a greeting gunther.

I respond collectively to ;-) ROSARIO ;-) IVO ;-) WALTER ;-) GUNTHER ;-) because you are all friends (the real ones), I thank you for your attention and for the nice words.
I would dwell on the words of Gunther (mountaineer doc) but above all a lover of nature, I agree with your words and I know well what man can do without caring about the damage that can be caused to other men and nature, I was in India shortly after the Bhopal disaster and in the surrounding area the indelible signs of destruction and death left very few words. Here I wanted to remember the children because after what was written and said we could talk for hours. Thank you all.
I attach a file that says a lot

I've never been there, but I've seen documentaries, films and anything else on the subject. Always very touching.
An excellent photographic document. Bravo Marco.

No need for comments, the photo tells, just listen to it; good Marco, an image that puts the strings of emotion in place.

A terrible story that unfortunately, as too often happens, did not even help us to teach ourselves how to avoid repeating mistakes.

Marco you're absolutely right, visiting this place is excruciating.
I saw the representation of the theater actor Marco Paolini who I recommend to see to everyone, made near the reservoir, a harrowing tale that appeals to you for his skill.
Excellent document.
