Chiesa di San Pietro (Porto Venere) vista dall' Isola Palmaria. Il tempio venne consacrato ufficialmente nel 1198. La sua parte a fasce bianche e nere risale al XIII secolo (presumibilmente realizzata tra il 1256 e il 1277[1]), e venne restaurata tra il 1931 e il 1935. La chiesa originaria è un'opera di tipo siriaco del V secolo. La chiesa di San Pietro è il "cristiano tempio" citato da Eugenio Montale in una suggestiva poesia, dedicata a Porto Venere. (Cit.
