Spesso chiudiamo gli occhi per sognare.. immaginando ciò che la realtà sembra non offrire.. vagando per luoghi e terre sconosciute, perdendosi di tanto in tanto in complicati labirinti fantasiosi.. ma poi riapriamo gli occhi, per ritrovare noi stessi e ricordarci chi realmente siamo e dove vogliamo andare! Qualla mattina finalmente sognavo ad occhi aperti, dinnazi a me lo scenario che per anni avevo tanto desiderato, ma da casa ad occhi chiusi. Così nasce questa fotografia, in un luogo a me caro dove ritrovo me stesso e i miei sogni. Ogni volta che mi sono recato in questo luogo ho sempre cercato la condizione atmosferica perfetta, ma spesso senza successo. Quella volta ero maggiormente determinato e con la collaborazione di un amico meteorologo al quale avevo riferito con precisione la situazione a cui volevo partecipare, sono riuscito nella tanto desiderata impresa! Parto da casa in solitaria nel tardo pomeriggio, 700 chilometri ed alle tre della notte arrivo sul posto, due brevi ore di riposo e mi incammino sul sentiero che oramai delinea non solo un territorio ma parte del mio essere e delle mie visioni.. l'alba è molto bella ma non ha ancora le caratteristiche a cui aspiro, così preparo l'accampamento e mi accingo la sera a dormire. Durante la notte come previsto arriva la cella temporalesca, la temperatura cala notevolmente, piove con violenza, il vento soffia forte facendo oscillare la mia tenda, un tuono dopo l'altro cade rimbombando nella valle! Mi alzo ancora, un paio di ore prima che faccia alba, l'aria è frizzante per essere metà luglio, troppo, è addirittura nevicato sulle vette. Appena raggiunto il luogo inizia ad albeggiare, il buio della notte lascia spazio ad una delicata luce mattutina, le nubi si diradono, le nebbie iniziano a risalire la valle, le cascate copiose risuonano tutte attorno, davanti a me ad occhi aperti il sogno tanto desiderato!
