Dimenticavo...le specie di vipera in Italia sono 5! Circa un anno fa è stata descritta qui in Piemonte una nuova specie, la Vipera walser. In realtà e molto simile alla berus, anche se le due specie sono molto distanti dal punto di vista genetico. Tra l'altro allo studio hanno partecipato anche ricercatori del MUSE (lo dico perché sei di Trento).
