700 mm distanza 15,3 mt Il merlo acquaiolo (Cinclus cinclus, Linnaeus 1758) è un uccello della famiglia dei Cinclidi che appartiene all'ordine dei Passeriformi. Designato da Birdlife Svizzera «uccello dell'anno 2017» Si tratta dell'unico passeriforme a potersi tuffare e camminare sul fondo dei torrenti. Solo una “grande passione” ti permette di mantenere la costanza, la tenacia, la dedizione, la pazienza, tutte doti necessarie per raggiungere un grande obiettivo, molte le uscite a vuoto prima dell'alba, molte le ore immobile dentro il capanno, freddo, pioggia, sole, immerso nella natura, il tutto per ottenere qualche foto di questo uccellino alquanto strano, infatti , vola in cielo e si immerge nelle acque impetuose dei torrenti, pesca piccoli pesci, larve e insetti acquatici, piccoli molluschi. Finalmente dopo tanti sforzi e sacrifici, sono riuscito a fotografarlo come volevo, grande soddisfazione e felicità, tutto rigorosamente “wild” e nel massimo rispetto della natura. Lo dedico al mio amico Piergiorgio compagno di numerosi appostamenti. “un ringraziamento particolare agli amici Paolo Grotto e Luca Sacco”
