, Posa B f/3.2, ISO 1600, tripod.

NGC7000 "North America" is a large and feeble nebula in the Swan constellation, its diameter is about four times that of the moon and distance is about 2000 light years. The red color that characterizes it, due to ionized hydrogen, suggests intense stellar formation activity. Image taken from my terrace in Montecassiano (MC, Italia). 20 shots of 10-minute exposure to 1600 iso with Canon 60d modified at the fire of a 400mm F2.8 telephoto lens closed at F3.2 and a 12-nanometer H-alpha filter . The long exposures were possible thanks to the filter, which rejected light pollution due to artificial lights. The tracking was performed on EQ6SS and autoguid mount. Processing was done with DSS for stacking and Photoshop for detail enhancement. Finally I also added the colors to the image, taking them back from my previous images in the same region.

In the central area you have not used too denoise? I see that in that area the details are not so visible ... It is still a great picture !! :-D ;-)

To denoise I do not work in a selective manner, but on the whole image at once (except the stars and of course for details). Could I have a little 'over the top but I wanted to give an aspect "gas" to the image, so I opted for this final look of appreciation .... Thanks!
