and 'a hooded crow? sent on February 07, 2017 (14:31) by Annamaria Pertosa. 58 comments, 1587 views.

at 250mm, 1/320 f/5.6, ISO 200, hand held. Milano, Italy.

Grazie a tutti.

Birdlife at no cost :-D
I would say that the lens works, while for the shot ... I give the word to those in the know in the genre.

Andreasettimo, I date occasionally birdlife from the balcony of my house, to try out the new lens for my 100D. Many thanks for the nice comment, friendly as always.

I had this same lens and have used it then, my judgment and satisfaction, it is good for my experience.
The shot is well composed and, perhaps, a small aperture would have given you greater sharpness, but you know that when shooting the birds you shoot instinctively no attention to these details.
As for whether it's a hooded crow I have some doubts especially for the color of the beak and the head it is not completely black. Maybe it's a young crow, but I can not say for sure!
Annamaria Brava, a nice catch!
Hello and good evening!

F.santullo, I caught by chance, just to experience the 55-200mm just taken, and luckily the tree was planted this crow. Thank you very much for the nice comments and availability.

Massimo S, then I'm happy to have made a good buy. Honestly to me it seems just as good as the lens. Of course if I had closed more, the picture would be clearer, but as usual, my impulse has played me a trick. Thank you so much for your constant attention and a welcome and valuable presence.
A dear greeting

Portrait in the background (too many branches disturb the image) and clarity (it seems a bit too cropped) are a fundamental part of scatto.poi white neck seems a little burned, as a composition may be fine. This is my humble opinion :-) However as the first step I have done worse :-D
Greetings Paul.
