Ponza,località Santa Maria.La più bella zona dell'isola.In un borgo caratteristico sorge la tranquilla Santa Maria.Piccola frazione di Ponza.Separata dal centro via terra da un'antico "grottone" di epoca romana.Non a caso i patrizi romani sia al tempo della repubblica che dell'impero costruivano le loro ville soprattutto in questa zona,tranquilla e riparata,dove sorgeva anche un piccolo porticciolo sempre di epoca romana.Attualmente è meta preferita per il soggiorno sull'isola proprio per la sua posizione geografica.A due passi dal centro raggiungibile in 10 minuti circa e comoda per le escursioni in mare.
