Posa B f/5.0, ISO 2000, tripod.

Elaborazione DSS e Photoshop. ----- After years of inactivity, the telescope newton 25cm F5 (focal lenght 1235mm) is back at work, under the low sky Montecassiano (MC - ITALY) .... but thanks to the nebular filter something came out .... A "classic" of the period: the nebula Orion, shot with the 60d changed to 2000 iSO. Sum of thirty poses by 90 "and shorter for the central part, do not drive. Processing DSS and Photoshop.

I had to hold the shots at 90 "and operated at 2000 ISO for not having moved .... Theoretically when following assisted ensure better accuracy, it can take exposures of 4-6 minutes with 400-800 ISO sensitivity, improving shades in dark areas (in this case, if you make the edges are a bit 'less detailed of the center).

Of course it's ionized hydrogen.
I was looking at that is more alive than you see around in photographs of M42; perhaps it lacked a "you" in my comment.

Many (all?) The colors that you see in the photos posted are emphasized in the post ....
Everyone interprets the images as now believes is the best way .... I preferred so that the pink-purplish usually .....
In any case the limits are always those of the sensor and of their response to colors, no basically you can say which is the real color of a subject! In this case also, however, the nebular filter D1 may have contributed. ;-)

Very rich and the very visible Keystone ... congratulations

I would like to know also what the HLGV, because of my M27 is a bit of green and someone mentioned to me that too.
Appearance clarification.
