In Piemonte siamo particolarmente fortunati in quanto a paesaggi. In particolare, il Monviso domina la scena di tutto il panorama piemontese ed è una delle montagne più belle al mondo, con la sua forma piramidale che sovrasta di 600 metri le creste circostanti. D'inverno il ramo nord della Via Lattea incrocia le Alpi Cozie a nord-ovest. Il luminoso Venere ribadisce lo scettro di astro più luminoso della volta celeste dopo il Sole e la Luna, mentre al centro della scena si manifesta un iridium flare. Si tratta del riflesso della luce solare su di un satellite di passaggio, e i satelliti della serie Iridium sono particolarmente riflettenti. In alto e leggermente a destra si può apprezzare la galassia di Andromeda, cioè i nostri vicini a livello galattico. Nel cielo sopra al Monviso e al di sopra dell'inquinamento luminoso si può osservare la "luce zodiacale", la luce diffusa dalle polveri spaziali residue orbitanti sul piano dell'eclittica. Insomma, un bel quadretto invernale e una bella ciaspolata notturna! :) Collage di 6 scatti orizzontali disposti 3x2, treppiede fisso per il paesaggio e astroinseguitore per il cielo
