, 30 sec f/4.0, ISO 5000, tripod.

In the face of those who say that only in the summer you can photograph Milky Way. Considerable noise control (30 sec. And ISO 5000 are not few). How did you manage to reduce such noise? Greetings

Thank you both for your comments! Charles I did not apply any noise reduction :-)
The 6D is really a very clean files at these high sensitivity, use with confidence enough to 6400iso

Then I'm wrong something. I also purchased the 6D own xchè its sensor responds well to high ISO and in fact it is so especially when compared to my previous 70D, but a noise almost nonexistent in 5000 iso ?! I can not and I never pushed beyond 3200. Did you use dark frames? (Technique that I have yet to try)

No I'm sorry I did not use dark frames and no program to direct the noise, the file regarding the noise is such that the raw. I sincerely 6D the thoughtless use up to ISO 4000, then to rise soon a little 'more attention but generally up to ISO 6400 is in place.
The gambling 8000-10000ISO only in extreme cases, when bringing home the shot has priority compared to getting a nice sharp picture.

The Milky Way is good and made without mess that can be seen sometimes. The next step would be to insert it into a landscape, to make the shot more interesting.
Good evening

Thank you so much John for the passage and the comment, it is definitely the next step.
Unfortunately I'm not very expert about star photography, but slowly I want to improve :-D
