Buon Natale a tutti voi e alle vostre famiglie. Vi auguro un periodo di pace e serenità. Grazie per la vostra costante presenza. Il Duomo di San Pietro e San Giorgio in Bamberga fu costruito dall'imperatore Enrico II Il tempo di costruzione fu solo di 10 anni, dal 1002 al 1012. Purtroppo però questo primo Duomo, come quello successivo, furono vittime di incendi. Il terzo, quello che ancora oggi è possibile ammirare, contiene elementi del tardo romanico, così come anche elementi del primo gotico. La tomba di Enrico II e di sua moglie Cunegonda, realizzata da Tilmann Riemenschneider, è sita nell'interrno del Duomo, così come pure la tomba di Papa Clemente II.
