Il mio recente viaggio in Madagascar mi ha permesso di realizzare un piccolo desiderio, quello di vedere e fotografare in libertà i camaleonti, animali mitici, per me bellissimi ed affascinanti. In questa immagine è raffigurato il Camaleonte Pantera (Fucifer Pardalis), che vive principalmente nelle regioni costiere del Madagascar e nell'isola di Nosy Be. I maschi di questa specie hanno una lunghezza media di 45 cm. Le femmine sono generalmente più piccole, circa la metà dei maschi. Questi ultimi in particolare presentano una colorazione molto vivace e differente a seconda della locazione geografica; quelli provenienti dalle aree di Nosy Be e Ambanja hanno tonalità blu/verdi, mentre quelli provenienti da Antsiranana e Sambava sono rossi, verdi e arancioni. Qui è rappresentato un esemplare maschio, fotografato sull'isola di Nosy Be. #wild
