23-8-2016. Appena scattata, nel mio giardino, e subito postata. Più che altro è un appello...Ho appena salvato dalle grinfie della gatta questo esserino, e spero tanto che sopravviva....ha la schiena spezzata... Il suo nome è “Biacco”, il nome scientifico “Hierophis viridiflavus” ed appartiene alla famiglia dei Colubridi (dal latino coluber=serpente). E' possibile incontrarlo nei nostri giardini poichè è diffuso in tutta Italia ed è molto adattabile... E' INNOCUO! quindi non spaventatevi, non uccidetelo e, semmai, allontanatelo con un bastone. E' innocuo perchè non ha nè le ghiandole velenifere, nè il veleno, nè i tipici denti per iniettarlo. In caso di pericolo, se può scegliere, preferisce la fuga poichè è un gran bel corridore,e anche nuotatore, agile e sinuoso ma se si trova proprio costretto a difendersi attacca con piccoli velocissimi morsi che provocano solo lievi graffi. Da adulto arriva a 1,30 m...quindi riesce a spaventare tutti!!! Si muove e va a caccia di giorno. Si nutre di lucertole, di vipere (è immune al loro veleno), uova di uccelli, topi, salamandre, rane, rospi e anfibi apodi (vermicelli del terreno).
