Aricia agestis (Schiffermüller, 1775) Dimensioni: Apertura alare: 24 - 28 mm Descrizione della specie: La parte superiore delle ali ha colore di fondo bruno con lunule marginali rosso arancione. Inferiormente, le ali hanno colore di fondo grigio pallido (primavera e autunno) o da grigio chiaro a marrone ruggine (generazioni estive) e presentano macchie nere ed arancioni; pagina inferiore bruno chiara; ocelli 2 e 3 sull'ala posteriore molto ravvicinati, Nella penisola iberica meridionale dai monti Cantabrici ai Pirenei e in Sardegna, larghe lunule submarginali arancioni spesso formanti una banda continua su entrambe le ali, superiormente, caratterizzano la sottospecie 'cramera', qualche volta considerata specie distinta.
