Una mattinata incredibile. Alle ore 10:15 partenza: io ero il primo ad esser arrivato, con mezz'ora buona di anticipo. Per la notte avevo deciso di dormire nel parcheggio della laguna glaciale Jokulsarlon, ma considerando le previsioni che mettevano neve (e c'avevano azzeccato alla grande) avevo messo la sveglia verso le 7, giusto per esser sicuro di arrivare in tempo anche se si fosse presentato qualche contrattempo. Ero il primo a “incignare” lo strato di neve sulla strada, ancora immacolata. Il confine tra terra e cielo era qualcosa di molto relativo quella mattina, diciamo che c'era da immaginarselo. Ma ora ritorniamo alle 10:15; dopo circa un'ora di guida in quella che per me era solo una terra sconfinata innevata (ma evidentemente per le guide c'era una strada là in mezzo) si arriva: si scende attraverso uno stretto passaggio che era stato attrezzato ad inizio stagione probabilmente, e si viene catapultati in qualcosa che sembra non appartenere a questo mondo. Un mondo colorato di blu, con qualche sprazzo di luce proveniente dalle sporadiche feritoie facevano perdere ogni cognizione di tempo e di spazio. Un posto che, come molti di voi sapranno, purtroppo sta scomparendo ad un ritmo inquietante e comunque quando ci si trova al suo interno sembra che tutto sia così immobile, come se il tempo si fosse fermato millenni fa. Un'esperienza che purtroppo non so descrivere a parole, ci provo quindi con un'immagine. Aggiungo come piccolo postulato che ho appena aperto il calendario con le date dei miei tour nel nord per la stagione 2018/2019 sul mio sito, quindi per coloro interessati a seguirmi in questi posti (ci sono partenze per Lofoten, Islanda e Lapponia) si faccia un giro sul mio sito www.leonardopapera.com .
