You say to me?! sent on May 25, 2016 (13:15) by Gabriele Breschi. 20 comments, 1581 views. [retina]

at 600mm, 1/800 f/6.3, ISO 12800, tripod. Pistoia, Italy. Specie: Cervus elaphus

Ho iniziato da poco con gli appostamenti per fotografare ungulati. Lunghe attese, pochi istanti per scattare e luce pessima! Però sono felice dello scatto, nella speranza di trovarmi in condizioni migliori per non portare al massimo gli ISO!

Guys I would not be wrong but it is right for a deer, the deer parks are different. Then fair enough the picture is wonderful

Thanks a lot to everyone! I confirm the fact that it is a deer, I also did a shot of the animal side, from there we understand very well. Maybe that image will load. Meanwhile, thanks for the comments!

The confusion with the deer can be caused by the fact that the stage of the deer, in this period, not only is covered with velvet, but is also growing.
In a month this deer will have a more developed stage, to mid-summer will clean, ready for the mating period.

deer without a doubt, the difference between deer and fallow deer is substantial (at least for those who understand a little).

The moment caught is beautiful enhanced expression superb.
I do not understand why you have a life of only 1/800 (extremely fast for exceptionally ungulates) which will be responsible for the high ISO, you could shoot safely at 1/200 (you had a tripod) to produce the same exposure but with 2 stop gain on the iso, you went from 12800 to 3200, the grain would be much less. personal opinion of course.
It is still a beautiful shot

You're absolutely right, it all happened very quickly. I was torn between enjoy the moment and concentrate on the photo. But with him in the face, with that look, the camera and as a result the picture, have passed into the background! I hoped it could happen to me again and in this case I will be well prepared!

Thank you :-)
