Sia il taglio che non include l'intera catena, sia la stupenda luce calda e laterale che valorizza le dune in primo piano (mentre le montagne rimangono in ombra) contribuiscono a rendere una visione di questo posto che si distacca dalle mille mila immagini - fotocopia proposte ormai quotidianamente.
E' si una foto scattata sotto i Vestrahorn, ma non è definibile come una foto hai Vestrahorn. E' una foto di un paesaggio ove le famose montagne alla fine giocano un ruolo quasi comprimario.
Andare in un luogo così carico di riferimenti e riuscire comunque ad avere la lucidità e la sicurezza di liberarsi da essi è un esercizio di grande fotografia.
