Questa volta voglio presentarvi un posto leggermente fuori dalle “strade più battute” diciamo; questa cascata rimane nella zona del Golden Circle, dove risiedono locations molto più conosciute (vedi Gullfoss, Geysir, Strokkur, Thingvellir) e spesso non viene presa in considerazione. Avevo già visitato questo posto nel 2014 e per trovarla in autunno avevo faticato davvero tanto, in quanto non ci sono percorsi o altro che portano fino a lei; in inverno invece, grazie alle tracce ben visibili sulla neve, non ho avuto problemi nel trovarla subito! Pensavo fosse un compito ancora più arduo orientarmi nel bianco totale, invece si è rivelato molto più semplice. Unico rimorso che ho di quel giorno: il 14-24 purtroppo mi aveva tradito e la lente interna mi si era appannata; purtroppo ero già sul posto e non potevo aspettare ore perché ritornasse ad essere operativa; ho dovuto quindi ripiegare sul buon vecchio 24-120 f/4 (che tra l'altro ha resistito ai passaggi di temperatura molto meglio rispetto al fratello 14-24!); non è tanto per la qualità, quanto per il limite dei 24mm; avrei preferito un pdr più ampio, ma mi sono adattato! Stava nevicando forte, potete notarlo dal cielo completamente ovattato; il colore di quell'acqua però è impossibile da scordare! Sicuramente uno dei miei posti preferiti! Aggiungo come piccolo postulato che ho appena aperto il calendario con le date dei miei tour nel nord per la stagione 2018/2019 sul mio sito, quindi per coloro interessati a seguirmi in questi posti (ci sono partenze per Lofoten, Islanda e Lapponia) si faccia un giro sul mio sito www.leonardopapera.com .
