Mai come in questi ultimi tempi l'approccio con il mondo esterno appare sempre inappropriato, l'individuo si sente perennemente fuori luogo e cerca un modo per uscire dal suo guscio, un modo per farsi accettare, per far sì che la società lo accolga al suo interno. La scelta del soggetto quindi non è casuale ma attentamente studiata, per garantire una miglior resa. Si è creato un forte feeling con la modella che ha interpretato perfettamente la mia idea e ciò che volevo trasmettere con queste fotografie. La bravissima make up artist ha contribuito in maniera essenziale alla realizzazione di un trucco fotografico perfettamente adatto al concept. Per arrivare a questo genere fotografico ho studiato per diversi mesi alcuni dei migliori fotografi fashion che scattano per lo più in studio, ispirandomi allo stile newyorkese e americano in generale. Volevo avere una luce quasi naturale, come se provenisse da una finestra, a tratti una luce fotografica anche tagliente. Il mio continuo bisogno di ricerca mi spinge a documentarmi perennemente e a sperimentare di continuo nuove luci e creare nuovi concept. La scelta di utilizzare un'unica fonte di luce è quindi fortemente voluta, proprio per dare maggiore “naturalezza” alla fotografia. Anche la scenografia è stata curata da me, dalla realizzazione dei fondali ai colori scelti e la base su cui siede il soggetto.
