Già da una prima visita sono rimasto colpito dal tuo talento e dalla qualità dei tuoi lavori. In particolare mi riferisco ai ritratti. Quando una cosa mi piace, cerco sempre di capire il perché; anche quando non mi piace a dire il vero ma con meno emergenza. Nel caso dei tuoi ritratti apprezzo il fatto che non tutto sia nel fotogramma. Direi che nel fotogramma lasci l'essenziale, spesso togli anche i colori. Permetti cosí allo sguardo di chi osserva di vedere altro. Alcune foto sono eloquenti in merito. Quelle fatte ai gemelli, sia assieme che da soli sono tra queste. Il ritratto in bianco e nero di Angela é tra questi. Quella di Giacomo che tiene il viso con la mano e al tempo tiene tra le dita il sigaro, é anch'essa una di queste. Ma cosa si vede che non c'é? Ho sempre sostenuto e credo con forza che dietro un buon ritratto ci sia una buona confidenza e non credo di sbagliare quando penso che tu conosca bene queste persone. Non sprechi questo tuo privilegio. Lo valorizzi esprimendolo in immagini. Dovendo cercare una foto che non va tra le tue, direi che "Analogia" é quella che mi convince di meno. Non perché non sia una bella foto, tutt'altro. Differisce dagli altri ritratti perché il suo significato é tutto nel fotogramma. Nulla in piú è dato allo sguardo. Dissonante é un aggettivo adatto al caso.
Dico tutto questo quì, nella foto che preferisco. Anch'essa circondata di eloquenza. L'eloquenza del silenzio di quando l'acqua sommerge le orecchie e con la sua pressione ci isola da tutto e tutti lasciando che tornino i pensieri. E poi é a colori, genere per il quale ho un debole particolare.
Anche le scelte tecniche ed in particolare le composizioni sono molto azzeccate. Il bianco e nero é molto equilibrato e ben prodotto. Non di meno é da apprezzare la capacità nell'uso della attrezzatura a disposizione.
Nelle mie visite ho lasciato diversi mi piace. Oggi ci tenevo a farti i miei piú sinceri complimenti.
