at 190mm, 1/125 f/11.0, ISO 100, hand held. Serengeti National Park, Tanzania.

Cut off by the sky, otherwise a fascinating picture despite the harsh light!

PS. I know that you were wrong to select the ISO ... ISO 52800 is now ;-)

Thanks Juza,
in fact I would say that the iso is a bit 'too much ..

In fact I also have a version without the sky but in the end I posted this ..

In fact, the light is harsh but in this case I do not mind because I think helps to make good the moment: sun angles, great heat and dust raised by the hooves ..

Com are well aware meiei traveling companions was a situazone that I liked very much.

I just commented to Oly and here's this one.
Nice and gives a good idea of ??the size of herds and dell'ambiante dusty.
What most impressed me when I've been in situations like this is the sound of the cries of countless wildebeest! A chant incessantly.

Hello,
simone

Hello Simon,
in fact, to make the situation better we would also like the sound that is as important as what you see and contributes greatly to the charm of the situation.
With the 7D I did some shooting but the strong wind quite disturbing ...

are difficult to reproduce in the narrow field of view of a camera

But I'd say you you did :-) and you have given a more than excellent demonstration to people like me so far has been in other parts of Africa less crowded ;-)

Great scene with the family of intruders in the multitude of wildebeest. I also cut off the sky. Hello.

Thanks Claire and Max

There were hundreds of thousands of wildebeest around and very few zebras usually keep a little 'over the edge.
Those zebras have remained steadfast to observe for long minutes and did not make a turn when slowly came down from 'car, staying close, I sdraitato on the ground to look for a different point of recovery.

you're right! fortunately the technology helps us .... Unfortunately I do not always had the idea to do the cutscene at the right time and at least for a occasioen I have a great regret. There are still used but it is worth d take advantage of this opportunity, a few seconds entered a projection would fit well and help to make good some situations.

I repeat myself, but looking at these pictures is the pain of Africa to those who, like me, there never was. You have shown a good time of the hard life of these animals, I like the effect that makes the dust, and the sound I can imagine! Compliments.

I like the fixed point given by the zebras in the foreground with the hustle and bustle of the gnu! Nice shot. Hello.

Thanks Alessandro,
condordo with you, when it portrays a chaotic scene with a plethora of subjects, I think it is important that we point the 'predominant focus on a subject that pretend as a catalyst ...
