http://www.geniusloci.photo/ Il crepitio di foglie secche e di piccoli rami che spezzo al mio passaggio sono le uniche voci che rompono il silenzio immenso del bosco autunnale. Di tanto in tanto un cinguettio lontano di cince ravviva uno scenario immobile: alberi scuri e imponenti si stagliano su una sconfinata distesa di foglie colorate. La luce filtra a fatica e, colpendo il manto di foglie e i tronchi ricoperti di muschio, solleva vapori che risalgono lenti come respiri quieti. Cammino ormai da ore: forse oggi è una di quelle giornate in cui devo accontentarmi di una rilassante passeggiata nei boschi. Un suono cupo e ripetuto in lontananza mi fa improvvisamente sobbalzare: è un cervo in bramito. Sono due, li sento: si sfidano a distanza con versi prolungati e profondi. Risalgo a fatica un crinale guidato dalle loro voci e, in una radura più in basso, riesco finalmente a scorgerne uno: è in una fitta macchia di arbusti, ma lentamente si sta muovendo in direzione dell'antagonista di cui intravedo soltanto il palco. Ecco, ora è in una zona dove la vegetazione è più rada. Solleva la testa e bramisce. Il terreno è scosceso: mi appoggio ad un albero per trovare una posizione meno precaria e scatto. Una, due, tre volte. Poi lentamente sparisce alla vista lasciando di sé solo il possente verso a ricoprire la vallata.
