at 500mm, 1/500 f/8.0, ISO 800, hand held. Specie: Parus caeruleus

light, color and composition very nice. The tit is not very clear (strange for a picture so close). It could be a problem maf incorrect or blur. Otherwise, a UV filter in front of the main lens kneading?
However good, a nice shot

As I attempt succeeded very well; I think the light side has taken a bit of detail .... congratulations!

Hello Mark, thank you very much for passing and I'm glad you've raised this subject!
Honestly I have not yet familiarized yourself with Sigmone, but I do not hide it ... here I am with a monopod, maintained the safety time for shooting and no filter installed, so, going by exclusion, I think it just as you assume you a MAF problem.
Always shoot with the central point for nature photos, and I noticed that the AI ??Servo 1 photo of 4/5 is in focus, the other not, while not muovendomi 1mm (I also did the test on a tripod).
Matters are different, however, if they are in AF One-shoot, point, single shot and no problem.
I will try to change the settings on tracking AF and see if it improves anything.
Thanks meantime for opening the discussion and glad that despite the lacknce of detail you enjoyed:-)
A greeting

Alex

Hello Alex. Try reducing the exposure time, 1/500 is just on the edge

shot of the beautiful colors and composition.
Mark says the time limit.
I think a bit of underexposure in addition to filing time would allow you to retrieve details about the clear parts.
a greeting

Paul I'm sorry but yesterday I had not seen your comment because I was responding to Mark and I had so many sfuggito..grazie for the appreciation and for the constructive comment, I'll treasure;-)

just comes back to me I'll make some attempt such an occasion;-)
Thanks again for the tips Mark!

Fabio, do not know how pleased I am one of your suggestion, take it as gold COLATor what I have written !!! :-)
Honestly I had not thought of that until I read the review, using either under- or over-exposure in birds ..... I'm just a newbie huh?!? :-D:-D:-D
What is certain is that the whites would have softened them, I would have taken at a faster tempo and I pulled up the shadows a bit 'more PP ...... well, that is, I owe you a beer;-)
The next time you leave tit portray me give it a try, then place the photo and see how it went.
If it goes wrong with underexposure, time to 1/1000, f 8 ISO acceptable, well, change goal !!! (Or maybe it's better that I ributti portraits ???):-D:-D:-D

Hello guys, and thanks so much to everyone, you have been gentilissimi! ;-)
A greeting

Alex exposure compensation is essential (it's the first thing I learned about Juza 8-) ... first I did not know too). As a general rule if the subject is white sottoesponi, if the subject is dark sovraesponi. How much depends on the subject from the background and the response of your set body / lens.
I suggest you follow the posts and photos of masters such as Ellemme, Mommotti, Spanu Louis, Roberto Vacca, Iosto Doneddu, Alain Ghignone and many others (I do not want those not mentioned here ... the good of Juza are really many)

good catch

Mark

I underexposed a bit
holy words!
I am a newbie (and a chicken:-D:-D:-D) and I still have so many small attentions to store.
This, however, now I will remember, just after the white balance I look around to see if there are more volatile dark or light;-)
Simone Hello, good day

Alex
