Stra-quoto your caption, we're winding down to the last: fconfuso:

On the one image I would have tried to make it as "ugly as possible," underexpose or maybe dedicating a particular brightness and dedicated to the flags, fading colors, vertical shot would have given more attention to the whole rod, bending the line of the sea and all that would have exasperated your (and also mine) thought through an image shot at hand, in this case a must, you've done well.

(I would have also added a very dark horse of the species "Equitalia")

Nice idea Riccardo compliments, was only a little worse:-D visually, but sometimes I become extremist and even that's okay, let's see what others say, a salutone,Michele

Hello Michael, thanks for the passage and comment. think I've done anything to improve it, the line of the sea was tilted and I straightened (I wanted to leave it to give the impression to slip into an endless abyss but then ...)
I make superhuman efforts to try to post photos that might appear decent and you tell me to worsen, ok next time the post as well as the shooting but then do not tell me that I could try to improve it because I come to get you.
Thank you again and best wishes for a good day

Riccardo

Hello Richard, your caption is all there, I would be trivially written an Italy to shreds (referring to the frayed flag) that despite the ongoing danger (red banner above, you escaped, ehh:-D) turns and runs counter contemptuous (spray in the rock). Having said all that, you should just try to make a mega crop, leaving the upper part of the picture from the end of the turret and a cut to the left far enough, leaving in practice only auction, flags and sketch. For the message you want to convey, to me makes it better.
Have a nice day! Maximum

Hello Massimo, good also your interpretation, I relaxed too much in recent times and the mind is a bit 'lies. I tried to cut and partly using your suggestion and partly to Michele (vertical cut) the photo we earn, or at least is not as bothered as now. Thanks.

Hello Richard, well-found;-)
I'd rather let it sit sea and sky and I framed the most part of the beach and umbrellas, they would give, perhaps, the more the idea of ??abandonment and desolazione..comunque your usual fantasy, you brought once again to express another picture of the many slices of everyday life ... only you can do it with so much passion about this emotional forum..peccato only this time it is decidedly gloomy and pessimistic, but then it is always more difficult otherwise.
a greeting
simone

Hello Simon, I could not stretch it below because there were people and then I would lose a little bit of effect. The message should not be interpreted as negative but wants to be a boost to the reaction, at least I speak for myself. As long as there will also be a single drop of blood you have to fight with a knife between his teeth. Observe that piece red, does not want to give up, has great faith in his ability and quality, supported an intact and then hope he knows that we can do it, it will not be the same as before but could win his battle.
Thanks for the ride and the suggestion.

I could not widen the bottom because there were people and then I would lose a little bit of effect

Imagine if there had been even a couple of people ..avresti including who, as you say, you do not want to give up;-)

I'm in a lull, there had arrived. I have to make a pause for thought because now I also sticks in my field. You're still quiet that I did not give up. When I do a few days off I lose the rhythm and for someone like me used to, as you know, to be always under pressure, not this break has done me good.
From Monday I will return to my usual grind hours and then the motor will resume at full speed.
Thanks again for the re-passage.

Riccardo

Richard Bravo for intuition and its realization. I have read and reread the discussion of the shot made by Simon that I can not help but share it fully. And God forbid! ;-)

Hello Enrico, thanks to you. Good, good, make common cause ... but be careful not to let your guard down. Joke of course, sometimes you're convinced of one thing and not see other way out until someone makes you noticed that with some changes you can reinforce what you wanted to prove. On the other hand I think the forum will also serve to this. Thanks again and good evening.

you put the photos in a gallery where the other two speak for themselves, and then you know what I say: I can think of the Alpine Don, I am reminded of Mario Rigoni Stern who returned home on foot, many did not make 'have made it, but many, we are stronger than it looks.
as regards the photo agree that two thirds filled with empty umbrellas and maybe some irreducible would speak the better

a greeting gianmarco

Gianmarco Hello, thanks for the passage and welcome comment that goes beyond what I wanted to convey. It 's true what you say, as he had already told Simon and Henry, who with some irreducible picture might have made more, but even so I do not mind because, after thinking about it, I think that makes it better than our Italian nature. We are a people that is there but not there, our presence / absence will notice is that we do not is that we are there, we are a people from the third, fourth row but always ready to pounce at the forefront when needed. And especially when we are in poor condition we do not like so much expose ourselves in plain sight.
And 'of course my personal opinion, however, that it was not intended at the time when I posted the photo, he began to make inroads after a number of comments in this shot. Thank you for your understanding, I really like.

The picture I really like, is the summer (if there ever was) in the end, each person can make a personal advice, but in the end you have to see and take pictures of what you like. ;-)

Hello Claudio, and unfortunately it is a "fine". Thanks for the ride and commentary.
