Questa Stutz Blackhawk era l'auto preferita da Elvis, e con cui fu visto uscire l'ultima volta dai cancelli di Graceland. Un auto dalla indubbia "personalità", e che ben si adattava al personaggio di Elvis.... Il prototipo della nuova vettura venne realizzato dalla Ghia, in Italia. Il motore ed il pianale erano invece della General Motors.La Blackhawk venne presentata al pubblico nel 1970 al lussuoso albergo newyorkese Waldorf-Astoria. L'auto venne prodotta manualmente in Italia. Fino al 1972 fu assemblata nelle Carrozzerie Padane di Modena, mentre dopo tale anno venne costruita alle Carrozzeria Saturn di Cavallermaggiore, in provincia di Cuneo. Nelle varie versioni ne furono prodotti circa 600 esemplari... Non so voi... ma io ce lo vedo propio il grande Elvis, col gomito fuori, per le strade di Memphis.... L'ideale colonna sonora di sottofondo a questo scatto ( Che mi sarebbe piaciuto aggiungere se fosse stato possibile.. ) senza ombra di dubbio sarebbe "Elvis is Everywhere" di Mojo Nixon & Skid Rooper, brano contagioso ed irresistibile che adoro, dedicato al grande Elvis....!!!
