I was most jealous of my friend AnnH's sighting and image of starlings yesterday! This morning, about half hour before sunrise, I was heading out onto the Amesbury Watermeadows (where I was to take some most lovely misty frosty scenes) and the telegraph wires were laden with these birds. My lack of knowledge means I do not know their species. It was quite dark still and I needed enough depth of field to cover both near and far lines of birds and I had to stoop too, to raise the distant ones above the horizon! But the slowish shutter speed has helped create a little blur on the wings of the faster moving birds. #Sunrise

Sono stato molto geloso di avvistamento mio amico Annh e l'immagine di storni ieri! Questa mattina, circa mezz'ora prima dell'alba, mi si stava dirigendo fuori sul Amesbury Watermeadows (dove ero a prendere alcune più belle scene nebbiose gelido) ei fili del telegrafo erano carichi di questi uccelli. La mia mancanza di conoscenza significa non so loro specie. E 'stato abbastanza buio ancora e avevo bisogno di abbastanza profondità di campo per coprire entrambe le linee vicine e lontane di uccelli e ho dovuto chinarsi troppo, per raccogliere quelle lontane sopra l'orizzonte! Io sono un po 'geloso di questo filmato, anche, Tim! È bellissimo! I fili del telegrafo e gli uccelli fanno grandi sagome contro quella luce splendida mattina! Ne valeva la pena accovacciato per essere in grado di includere la fila inferiore di uccelli.
Immagino che questi sono anche storni.

Ann :)) I am a little jealous of this shot, too, Tim! It's beautiful! The telegraph wires and birds make great silhouettes against that gorgeous morning light! It was well worth crouching to be able to include the lower row of birds.

Grazie anche, Ann - ho dovuto per ingrandire per ottenere questi e penso anche che siano storni, ma non volevo dire palesemente così. Aiuta anche che il polo più vicino è ragionevolmente intricato troppo. Thank you Andrew! Good weekend to you too!
Thank you also, Ann - I had to zoom in to get these and I also think they are starlings but I didn't want to blatantly say so. It also helps that the nearest pole is reasonably intricate too.
