Memy, il lupo in questa foto non è da Sanetti Plateau, ma da Keyrensa Valley. I lupi sono ancora comuni nelle montagne Bale. Sono stato per 3 settimane lì e li ho visti quasi ogni giorno quando ero in montagna. Non conosco le dinamiche della loro popolazione però. Andrò l'anno prossimo di nuovo - per continuare con la fotografia di loro. Forse noteranno cambiamenti negativi come hai fatto. Per ora, è per me difficile giudicare la situazione. Tuttavia, quando vedo quanto è forte la economica (agricola), lo sfruttamento è in questa zona (e in realtà in tutto il mondo in Etiopia), io sono scettico sul fatto che questa specie sopravviverà. Credo anche che otterrà estinto entro il prossimo decennio o giù di lì, nonostante tutta l'attenzione internazionale. I have been for 3 weeks there and have seen them almost every day when I was in the mountains. I don't know the dynamics of their population however. I'll go next year there again - to continue with photography of them. Maybe I will notice negative changes like you did. For now, it is for me difficult to judge about the situation. However, when I see how strong the economic (agricultural) exploitation is in this area (and actually everywhere in Ethiopia), I am skeptical that this species will survive. I even believe that it will get extinct within the next decade or so despite all international attention. |

Wow! Gran tiro. Mi piace il contrasto del gelo (?) Contro i colori caldi del lupo. Inoltre, la messa a fuoco di elementi di aiuto di fronte portare l'attenzione per l'animale. Bel lavoro ;-) Wow! Great shot. I like the contrast of the frost (?) against the warm colors of the wolf. Besides, the out of focus elements in front help bring attention to the animal. Nice work  |
