Bello compo, bello soggetto, dettagli eccellenti. Complimenti Wally di prendere questo quando si è fermato in volo. E 'facile farsi prendere dal panico, perché spesso non si fermano a lungo. I miei uccelli preferiti per sparare.

Ho dimenticato di menzionare Wally non ci sono colibrì in Australia, quindi sarà un altro viaggio 15k in America Centrale per catturare un po ':) Le cose che facciamo una foto! :)
Una cosa che non ho menzionato nei miei appunti è che lascio l'OS / VR su per Hummers in volo (e non in un primo momento, ma poi ho trovato funziona). Io credo il vostro obiettivo non è questo? La ragione, perché non siete realmente panning per la maggior parte. Hummers librano un sacco di tempo. Così, anche se le ali sono in corso a un milione di miglia all'ora, che sono in realtà, un po 'in piedi ancora a mezz'aria. Ho trovato il sistema operativo bloccato la messa a fuoco come se fosse un ritratto.
Buona fortuna questa primavera e l'estate non vedo l'ora di vedere alcune immagini di cracking.
Brian I forget to mention Wally there are no hummingbirds in Australia so it will be another 15k trip back to Central America to capture some more : ) The things we do for a photo! : )
One thing I haven't mentioned in my notes is that I leave the OS/VR on for Hummers in flight(well not at first but then I found it works). I do believe your lens does not have this? The reason, because you are not really panning for the most part. Hummers hover a lot of the time. So even though the wings are going at a million miles an hour, they are in reality, kind of standing still in mid air. I found the OS locked the focus like it was a portrait shot.
Good luck this spring and summer I look forward to seeing some cracking images.

Cervello, mi fa sentire molto fortunato che li ho proprio nel mio cortile di casa per così dire. Il diritto mia Canon 400 5.6 non ha è. Ma posso fare abbastanza bene con esso detenuta da mantenere i tempi di posa fino a mano. Sì in effetti le Hummer si librano, ma come hai detto prima, "spesso non si fermano per molto tempo". Sto solo andando a lavorare di più a prendere loro lo fanno librano. Abbiamo solo due tipi di tutto qui il Anna e il rossiccio. Come sapete, affascinanti piccoli uccelli per guardare. Brian, grazie per la condivisione. Wally Brain, makes me feel very fortunate that I have them right in my own backyard so to speak. Your right my Canon 400 5.6 doesn't have IS. But I can do pretty well with it hand held by keeping the shutter speeds up. Yes indeed the hummers do hover but like you said earlier, "they often don't stop for long". I'm just going to have to work harder at catching them they do hover. We only have two kinds around here the Anna's and the Rufous. As you know, fascinating little birds to watch.
