[QUOTAS] I don't like this shot. It doesn't honor any photographer to annoy a wild animal to the point of reaction, and it doesn't do the forum any credit to teach nature photographers how to do it. By the way, it can be dangerous for some careless people: they are powerful animals. Confused
Respect!
It is advisable not to approach wild animals beyond the safe distance. Confused
For some ways you could say any photo taken of wild animals.
For the principle of uncertainty, "if you study something you change it". And even if you photograph it then since the animal will undergo a process of habitalization to your presence. Whether it's an ibex, a lion or a cinciallegra.

Nice photo, I didn't imagine them getting so close, the only thing I wonder
to avoid the "flay" you have to be an athletic type, taking into account the photographic equipment you will have brought and stand and take a still photo. :-o

Certainly those who took the photo do not normally approach beyond the safe distance to the wild. But posting a picture in which a large herbivore reacts to his presence in such a conmeal way can provoke the imitation of careless people and put them in danger. Probably the reaction happened because the ibex was on a ledge and the photographer had approached the only escape route present. However, as someone said, in their small way even the ants get... Anus.

Hi, just after the photo nothing happened, I set back a meter and he stayed there. The escape route is there and there was as the ibex arrived on the ledge on the opposite side of mine. Usually not all ibexes and not in all situations let themselves be approached like this. Having said that, the fact remains that that remains its "comfort zone" in certain situations and , like many animals, associates with it the possibility of success in the face of some meetings or simply because it feels safe.

The theme of ethics in naturalistic photography is very delicate. Frankly, however, according to this principle, you should not even broadcast Formula 1 races on TV since there may be some pirl@ think you are Hamilton!
Three other things the author explained the dynamics of how the shot happened.
Common sense we should all have it and it doesn't instill itself not by showing things but by explaining them! ;-)

Technical question... the 16-35 you mounted it "approaching", on the moment or have you left since you saw it with the one mounted with the hope of getting closer to that point??
How good shot

Here they are dying from me due to an eye disease that, unfortunately, also affects the chamos.
Superb animal and peremptory shot. I wouldn't make dramas about "disturbance." When I go into the woods, I'm always a roe deer disorder. Mr Càpita.
