At last of the sharp birds.
However you notice imperfections in sharpness, have you used Topaz software?

No, I didn't use Topaz here, just PS CC

I'm undecided whether or not to take the 150-600 for Christmas, after this gorgeous shot I think I'm spending money on it.
Congratulations really... Great

Congratulations really... Great

As I always say to everyone, the zooms (the Sigma Sport in particular) are very practical and exceptional for shots from close distances, consider that the eye is shot from 3 meters, at greater distances (say already from 7/8 meters) the difference with the fixed you start to see, and then become very wide at even greater distances.
It depends on what you need to photograph ...

True Goaz, but it is assumed that, at least for my part, that to photograph certain subjects, there must always be a "limit" to be respected, I personally have a fixed 400mm, I feel good, but of course if I pretend to shoot at a passer-by at 5/6 meters, the quality it will definitely be lower than at closer distances, I'm simply interested in having a more margin with the focal, both more and less.
Anyway thank you for the advice :-)

You did well to specify "determined subjects" since winter sparrows are certainly not intimidated or disturbed by these distances.
A greeting
Fulvio

I am basically interested in limiting the various crop, although light for composition then in post... And adding 200mm to the current seems like a sensible choice :-D
