Scatto eseguito in appoggio.

Hi Stefano. The Amanita muscaria and its varieties are definitely dangerous mushrooms and to avoid for the characteristics that I have expressed in caption, but that I know are not mortal. Not so for other devious species that can be confused with edible mushrooms, such as the Amanites phalloides, Verna, Virosa, the Cortinarius orellanus and Speciosissimus definitely deadly and by the consequences heavy and disabling for those who survive after the assumption. Thanks for the comment Stephen.
Bye Josh ;-)

Hello Salvo. There is a variety (the Amanita aureole) that is totally equal for morphological and chemical characteristics of Amanita muscaria. It is less widespread but the peculiarity is the lack of white warts. Maybe you met that one, but I should see it for sure.
Thanks for the ride.
Bye Josh ;-)

As long as you touch it virtually go quiet big head Mau. :-P Aside from the jokes, these are dangerous mushrooms only if ingested, you can safely observe, analyze and touch. There is no permeability with the skin of the toxic acids contained, unlike other deadly species that I would say for prudence not to handle regardless.
Thanks for the ride.
Bye Josh ;-)

These Amanita are really beautiful to photograph, also because they remember, as you pointed out, the fairy tales of children, beautiful shot
