at 200mm, 1/400 f/13.0, ISO 200, hand held.

A click that has several notable contents.
Amazes
encompasses an existential symbolism
is black and white and does not ruin the view with hypersaturation out of place that you can not even comment because then the author is sorry.
Ah Yes the black and white has so much extra class.

Some time ago, I saw on television (on a network Rai) a documentary (once called them so) on the places you mentioned in the caption. Having seen that movie allows me to appreciate and admire this beautiful shot, titrated in a way that I find absolutely suitable for these places, as I am today. Congratulations

Fantastic the point of recovery that exalts the "cracks" of the ground with its black lines that try to mark with character the history
Beautiful The Bn and the presence of 3 people

Cinzia, thank you for what you wrote, I'm glad that this image has had this effect!
Angel, Thank you! The proportions do a lot in this shot, I agree. And think that here you see only a portion of the Cretto...!
Hello Luigi, thanks!

Antonello, thank you: I am very pleased!
Patrick, if there was an EP for the comments vote often yours! Very happy for what you wrote. Saturation is often a temptation, and it is a theme that sometimes stirs up controversy. But if I were to overdo it, I'd be happy to discuss it ;-)
John, something like that happened to me too. Thank you!
Diamond, Thank you!
Marco, thanks for reading.
I am happy because from the comments received I felt an emotional involvement, and I was very pleased.
Hello to all and again thank you.

A composition.. Photos, people and caption.. Very engaging, a beautiful document that recalls in part the sad events of the after-earthquake that are still repeated today! .. Congratulations on the shot.

Very beautiful, perfect the idea of inserting in the image the human figures that give the exact perception of the size of Burri's work. The Cretto is really spectacular.
A greeting Everblaze

A moment that has some surreal, almost as if the three people are unaware of being on the brink of an abyss. Abyss that a more decided contrast would not have made it so well, so deep. Very strong the furrows that end up at the corners, on the diagonal, and that seem to support this dramatic landscape posed by sidling. Great photo, beautifully rendered.

You have chosen a good pdr, which gives depth and creates that right level of disorientation in the eye of those who observe the shot. The insertion of the human element is well studied because it gives the idea of the dimensions of the work.
The conversion to B/n is very good, Alberto has already given you some more tips ;-).
Nice work David, congratulations.
Hello and have a good day.

Hello Mauro, thank you very much for the passage and for your reading. I really enjoyed :-)
I take this opportunity to resume the theme of the contrast that the good Alberto proposed: I tried to intervene both by increasing the contrast and lowering the blacks, and in both cases I found the effect excessive. Maybe I'd rather see it printed out first, and then decide if and how to intervene. We adjourn... Meanwhile thanks for the cues!
Good afternoon,
David

Excellent composition, which highlights the geometries of the place, and the human presence, well placed, which gives the size. Congratulations and a greeting. Mt
