Io studio e seguo un branco di lupi da una ventina d'anni e ritengo di avere ancore molte cose da apprendere da questo magnifico animale. Fotografarlo, poi, é un'altra storia. Se sei fortunato,come in questo caso, te lo ritrovi occasionalmente di fronte quanto meno te lo aspetti,e devi essere rapido a scattare perché l'odore dell'uomo lui lo associa da secoli al pericolo e scappa via.
Programmare poi delle uscite per fotografarlo, invece, richiede la conoscenza del territorio e del branco studiato, le zone di rendez-vous (quelle in cui il branco svezza i piccoli, dove giocano etc..) e tanto altro che non sto qua a spiegare(attrezzature in primis).
Il lupo in questione,ammesso sia un lupo puro, appare visibilmente malconcio. Ha un otoematoma ( ematoma all'orecchio,che può essere dovuto a svariate cause,un morso,un forasacco, un'otite etc..) e ha una dermatite generalizzata probabilmente una forma di rogna. In più in questo periodo dovrebbe essere in muta invernale. E'un lupo? O un ibrido? Solo la genetica ve lo potrebbe dire !
I caratteri tipici del nostro amato lupo appenninico qua si vedono poco (le bande nere sugli avambracci), o non si vedono affatto (la macchia golare e quella facciale bianca tipica). Il soggetto sembra un vecchio lupo adulto ma anche qua si potrebbero prendere cantonate... insomma,la questione non é facile. Resta il ricordo che ti porterai dietro per tutta la vita,e quegli occhi magnetici che per una frazione di secondo ha incrociato il tuo sguardo e ti farà sognare.
Il lupo non é aggressivo, non vi attacca, e il suo sistema olfattivo sviluppatissimo fa sempre decidere a lui se concedersi alla vista o restare nascosto..gli potreste passare accanto cento volte e non accorgervi della sua presenza.
