Beautiful,: -colors, sharpness and well-composed, those parts of fire-rays make the image very three-dimensional, congratulations, hello Giordano Bellissima, colori, nitidezza e ben composta, quelle parti di rametti a fuoco, rendono l'immagine molto tridimensionale, complimenti, ciao Giordano |

beautiful picture ...... I can not comment on the gray shades of the head of the head very far from the dark black almost of our Mediterranean subspecies brookei is the first pilgrim with this color I see. I am surprised why the peregrinator subspecies that should be present in India is completely different with almost red shades lying on my chest and abdomen and black head, even the width of the whip is little by pilgrim, very steamed asks me if it can not be another species Falco jugger or Falco pelegrinoides which I still do not know in nature splendida immagine......non posso non commentare la tonalità di colore grigio cenere della testa lontanissima da quella scura quasi nera della nostra sottospecie mediterranea brookei è il primo pellegrino con questo colore che vedo.

Dear Sigismondi, Thank you very much for your comments. I know there is language barrier and I am not sure if I understood your comment correctly. First I am photographer and bird lover, especially raptors and I am visiting India annually from Oman because of these birds. These birds are on their annual winter migration from north to south all the way to Africa and back to north where they breed. Some birds spend their winter in India,Pakistan,Sri Lanka and maybe neighbouring countries, including Oman. The other falcon you are mentioning maybe is shaheen which breeds in this part of the world including India,Pakistan and neighbouring countries. I hope I have answer your question. I have to reply you this way, as I am trying to pull other users of this forum to help answer your question. Kind Regards, Abdallah. |

dear Abdallah
thanks for the answer, in summary the livery of this individual is very different from the pilgrim subspecies that should be present in the area as you say the shaheen Falco peregrinus peregrinator so I wondered if it could not be of any other kind caro Abdallah thanks for the answer, in summary the livery of this individual is very different from the pilgrim subspecies that should be present in the area as you say the shaheen Falco peregrinus peregrinator so I wondered if it could not be of any other kind |

Ciao Abdallah, many compliments on all your pictures. Also the ones in the others galleries! The quality of your images is truly exceptional! I saw the previous comments about the falcon in this picture, and it certainly is a bird in a kind of "aberrant" plumage. The first name that crossed my mind was Barbary Falcon (Falco pelegrinoides), but I am not sure about that. Mostly because of the lightly gray head. However, regardless of the species, the images are stunning! Good luck on your photography, kind regards from the Netherlands, Hans |
