Per chi non sapesse la storiella: "In primavera il Cuculo depone un uovo nel nido di altri uccelli, in questo caso quello del codirosso. le specie ospiti sono diverse a seconda della sottospecie di cuculo, difatti ciascuna di esse depone uova che sono simili alle uova di diverse specie di passeriformi (circa una cinquantina). L'uovo del piccolo Cuculo schiude prima degli altri e quando nasce fa cadere dal nido le altre uova in modo che i genitori adottivi si possano prendere cura di questo uccello grande più di loro. A volte sono i genitori stessi che si liberano delle altre uova. I genitori adottivi hanno un gran da fare per sfamare questo grande pullo. Quando impara a volare, il piccolo cuco, segue i suoi simili e migra in africa o in zone più calde dove impara il suo richiamo...il cucù per poi far nuovamente ritorno in primavera!!!
